I really enjoyed this video. Being able to see and understand the bigger picture is important.
The connection between big pictures in education and our personal lives is very real. Without the big picture we will always be in the dark about something, which is why we always need to be on the lookout for as much information as possible. I really enjoyed the example in the beginning, it made this concept a little easier to understand.
The link between dividing subjects in school to dividing social issues is interesting as it shows our lack of teaching systems thinking. The the idea that love too is a part of systems thinking and the levels of it but they are all connected through it. Things we are taught through a system can be wrong but we must change the system for better results.
I love the idea of understanding the bigger picture. So much of schooling is offered from one-point of view; thus, students fail to make larger connections between the classroom and the real-world.
