CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is an important part of the International Baccalaureate program that focuses on personal growth beyond academics. It encourages students to explore creative interests, stay physically active, and contribute to their communities through meaningful service. I think CAS is valuable because it helps students develop balance, responsibility, and real-world skills while making a positive impact. It also allows students to discover their passions and build experiences that go beyond the classroom.
This pathway is so important for visual based learners like myself. Creativity , activity and Service are the structure of an artist mind.
It is super important to incorporate this knowledge when it comes to students. Letting students go beyond the line and encouraging them to come up with unique ideas is highly important, the smallest idea could be a big change for them.
Based on this resource we see how creativity and designing allows for more critical thinking in a sense. We are allowing students to extend their ideas into something visual which is a wonderful concept I think.
creativity is when you are exploring activity to extends ideas. Example dancing and drawing.
Creativity, Activity, and Service are all important parts of effective design thinking. Design thinking should be appropriately modeled in the classroom setting so students have a visual example to look up to as how to properly exercise this.
