This video explains how teachers have a much larger impact than they originally expect as they can either make or break a child’s educational future.
I think overall deeper learning is very important. Every teacher/educator should know and understand that every child learns differently and on a different timeline but keeping in mind that them being fully engaged in the lesson is also important.
Just because things have always been done a certain way doesn't mean they still have to be done that certain way. Deep learning emphasizes the challenge of metacognition, which deepens critical thinking.
When teaching, teachers must always have in mind every learner is different. In order to provoke deeper learning they must first find a way to help them understand the basic idea/knowledge. Keeping a student engaged is highly important when it comes to education.
The teachers attitude matters in the classroom and towards the lesson because if they have a i don't care attitude then the students will not think it is important for them to learn or even care about the subject you're teaching.
This video shows how important it is to reach a deeper level of learning, and how it will impact the student even outside of school.
When a deeper learning experience happens, whomever had that experience is more likely to remember it.
This video shows the important parts of deeper learning and how everything they do is preparing them for college and jobs.
Teachers are the leaders and role models within the classroom. They must demonstrate the behaviors that they would like for the students to exhibit and uphold the expectations. Teachers should demonstrate enthusiasm about learning and personal investment in each student.
When a child has a deeper learning experience, they are more likely to remember what they are learning about and actually enjoy it as well.
When the students are engaged and learning this automatically leads to deeper learning. You as an educator have to capture the students interest. Just because something is always done one way doesn't mean it has to always be done that way.
Teachers must be able to show other solutions to a problem, not everyone learns the same way. This also explains that the students must be challenged to find out that information they obtained but not shaming them for not understanding but allowing the teacher to figure out how they may need to adjust their teaching.
This video shows the importance of deeper learning and metacognition. Engaging students in deeper thinking prepares them for college and life experiences and allows them to apply what they learn in class. Communicating effectively with our students prepares them for presenting information to different audiences.
This video talks about the importants of deeper learning. Teachers need to help students get to the correct answers without telling them. Students know more then they think. Things also do not have to be done the traditional way. Just because it is different doesn't mean it is wrong.
This video showed the importance of pushing the students and making them think about what they are doing. The teacher can achieve this by student based learning and it forces the students to actually learn instead of just playing the game of school.
I really like the method of striving for deeper learning you are centering it around students' interests. A student will be more engaged and willing to learn if their learning is centered around them, however, I like that they also make the students think about a wide range of audiences as well.
I liked that the staff, teachers, principles encouraged students in working within something they are interested in. They focus and engage in deeper learning when they do something they are interested in doing. I like that the students had a lot of resources and opportunities to do hands on activities or projects. Deeper learning helps teacher see the students progress, growth, and things that they need to thrive or succeed in the class.
The video shows how deeper thinking can be incorporated in the lessons that are being taught in the classroom. It gives the student an opportunity to do more collaboration work. It also helps the teacher to be more communicative with the students.
In this video you see that there are various ways deeper thinking can be introduced into the classroom. There is not one set way and each lesson is open ended for students.
Teachers can often set the tone in their classrooms. When teachers radiate positive attitudes the students often follow. You have to push your students to do the best they are capable of doing. Being excited and making the classroom a fun learning environment helps bring out the best in the kids.
The video is about teachers having positive attitudes to set the tone for their classroom and make their students more confident. Also, making sure that the teacher can communicate with the teacher effectively.
It is an exciting process. It seems like it keeps the students more encage than in a traditional classroom. I also like how there is there are six steps to this process.
Deeper learning, one of the examples of this is expeditionary learning. This style allows for a particular emphasis on one physical or academic aspect, which is an interesting concept.
The video is very inspiring and the reason I am becoming a teacher. I enjoy pushing my students and bringing out the best of them. If a student knows you care about them and want the best for them, that will typically help them be more engaged in the class. and be better off in the classroom.
Teachers' attitudes towards the lesson and towards the class affect everyone in the classroom. Being enthused and confident in your material and teaching style gives the students a sense of enthusiasm as well.
teachers need to understand that it doesn't matter how the student got the answer, it's about that they got it right you need to understand that asking students won't get things to the same. you have to have faith and trust your students no matter what.
Teachers need to have confidence in the classroom to produce confident students. Teachers need to push students to that next level of understanding to form those connections to the world as we have seen in the video. We see some collaboration of the students as well and how each student was different, but they all contributed to overall community of the classroom.
I learned from this video that it is important to know all the students in a classroom since they are all different learners. Understanding and working with different methods will give the class more profundity to everyone than just one point of view.
teachers need to have faith in their students and trust them to be able to see results in their students to to them now having confidence in themselves. teachers have a large effect on how kids perform in the class so be helpful but trust them.
Teachers need to be confident in the classroom in order to inspire confidence in their students in the classroom.
When a teacher is confident in themselves and their teaching style is rubs off on their students. Confidence also gains respect from students because they believe that the teacher knows what they are talking about.
This video explained how important a teachers behavior and demeanor is important for students to have confidence in themselves. It also stated how important it is to communicate effectively. I think this is very important especially from students who may not be coming from a good background or don't have a good home life. Oftentimes these students are made to feel as if they aren't smart enough or good enough to do great things. When in reality they can they just need those to be confident in their students abilities and encourage them to be confident in themselves and what they know and are capable of.
What I took from this video was the importance of finding confidence and communication as a teacher. Learning that when we have a level of confidence in the classroom we are able to provide success to students.
This video helped to express the importance of confidence and communication as an educator. As a professor/instructor, we should be able to hold a certain level of confidence in our teaching that shows the students that there is a certain level of trust that they can put in us to teach them the materials necessary for them to succeed.
When the teacher keeps a positive outlook then the student will have more confidence in themself.
The teacher plays a vital role on the students success throughout their time at the school. When a teacher has the confidence and wants to be there and help the student's it will be a much better situation for all.
Students will most likely do better when they can tell that the educator has confidence in them. Communication is very important in classrooms. If you don't have communication with your students then they won't feel comfortable coming to you.
Having a positive outlook on students and their success can allow students to handle situations later in life.
This video points out that students will often do better when they can tell that you believe in them as an educator, and that your belief in them is leading to an extra push or two that they can handle without immense amounts of pressure. It also points out just how important communication in a classroom really is.
This was great to understand how to help meet the students needs or goals and connecting with students to help them be successful.
Believing in your students can lead to more confidence in students and change the classroom atmosphere. If we as educators can meet the student's needs there could be a boost in learner engagement.
Belief in students can make all of the difference. This leads to more student confidence. Multisensory experiences that are based on real-world problems make learning more successful and meaningful. Communication through collaboration is something that students will need in the working field, so it is important to use it within the classroom. Learning plans are very interesting as the students are able to indicate their learning and know exactly where they want to end up. Critical thinking leads to later success as you are able to look at all interpretations.
I definitely think this video showed how teachers can connect with their students in several different ways like connecting with them about their interest and their best possible way of learning something. When being a teacher it's very important to understand your student and know what works for them and what possible troubles them.
This video shared how there are ways to connect with students and meeting their needs and interest.
In this video it talked about how we can connect with our students by trying to meet our students interest. If we meet our students interest they will be more engaged in learning.
Different types of learners are very important to a classroom. Seeing all different perspectives will give to class more depth than just one view.
It is so important for us to explore the different types of learners we have in the classroom. A approach that allows students to be creative and loosen up allows students to open up and deeply think about the content. It is so important to have an individualized approach to each students learning.
In the video, Ben Daley stated "Engaging students in 'What are you actually interested in?', I think is a really great question. I agree that this is a really great question to ask students because it can help educators to further understand the interests of their students, making them more engaged and mindful during deeper learning.
This video shows just how deep learning is. We need to connect with our students, if we believe in a student, it can make a differences. Our students are the focus and if teachers are working with others teachers it sets a good team work in learning. We need to teach in the 21st century and its important of giving the student more challenges to develop. " Show the students you care."
I like that the video discusses project-based learning. I personally notice that many of my professors utilize project-based learning! It encourages collaboration, deep thinking, and creativity. Hands-on activities bring an element of fun to the classroom, and I think more teachers should implement this.
One big takeaway that I got from this video is what deeper learning really captures. The video stated that deeper learning captures the ideas and energy behind an entire effort. I believe that this is important because deeper learning is showing how hard students are thinking of the material and the amount of learning that students are trying to gain from their experience.
I definitely agree that project-based learning and dealing with global issues lead to deep learning. Courage as it is said is really necessary because we need to challenge students and these challenges also need courageous teachers. Project-based learning demands students to think critically, to work collaboratively, to communicate ideas and if students work with this methodology, they will be better prepared to go on studying after they finish school. Teachers also need to work collaboratively to help students. Foreign language teachers tend to feel more comfortable with this methodology because they have always been interested in making students exhibit their work and communicate their ideas effectively to a variety of audiences. Students and teachers develop a more horizontal relationship with this teaching strategy. The schools presented in this video should be considered a source of inspiration for other schools and for most educators.
