There are many different aspects required to meet a student's learning goals such as environmental, structure, and engagement. These different aspects brought together can make a life changing experience in learning.
Allowing your students to have a voice in the classroom, opens the door to more engagement, stronger relationships, and participation.
When students feel that they are participating in classroom decisions, they are more apt to being engaged and holding themselves accountable.
The learning environment is highly important, if students are in a positive environment they will succeed I believe comparing to being in a negative environment then it will effect them in a negative way.
Allowing students to have a voice in the classroom can change their entire learning experience for the better.
Giving students a chance to speak can cause a lot of interaction within the classroom.
Giving students voice and choice is a simple act that can have a huge impact. You want students to become engaged and excited in their learning!
When giving students a voice and a choice in their learning, educators must become more flexible in their planning. Although this can be challenging, it results in more motivated students.
I think educators often see PBL as more work than just lecturing but it does not have to be that complicated. In reality students are aware of their interests regarding the subject and they know what they want to know. By giving them that small amount of freedom you are cutting your workload but also creating that engagement.
I can see how it may be hard for some teachers to allow more freedom but like I said before a teacher could have it set that the class needs to do a worksheet and write in their journal.. the teacher could allow the student to choose which they wanna do first. Also as simple as letting students choose what books they are reading if you are able to.
Giving the students to have a voice and choice in the classroom allows for them to be more engaged and enhance their learning experiences.
The learning environment a student is in reflects how effectively they work in a classroom. For instance if a child does not feel safe they more than likely will not participate or engage enough during instruction/lesson time. Providing a good learning environment will have better outcomes and success.
Giving students the opportunity to become more engage enhances their learning experience.
It shines the light that different learning styles excel in different learning environments with positive and negative influences. It's up to the educator to find that right balance.
if a students learning enviornment is not set to the right standard then kids will not learn at their best ability.
The learning environment makes a difference in students' learning and success.
The learning environment of each classroom has a positive or negative effect on students learning. Giving students chances to engage and participate creates a better learning experience as the students give their voice.
An instructor must create an environment that encourages pupils to participate because this makes them feel more at ease. It also encourages students to take an active role in their education. When an instructor is the only one making all the decisions, kids may become bored and not relish such an environment.
Allowing students to be involved with their learning environment allows for them to be able to be more engaged in their learning. I think students will learn a lot more from actually participating and constructing their learning because it allows them to form those connections and choose what route they take to reach those desired learning outcomes.
A students voice will allow them to have a better learning experience and succeed way better.
Giving students a voice can allow them to gain engagement and inter-activeness. This gives them a better learning experience.
When students feel like they have a voice in the classroom they are more involved and have a better learning experience.
I think it is important to do things that students are genuinely interested in and letting them voice their ideas and thoughts on what they learn and how they learn it. It gets students more involved and engaged in their learning and that is something we want as educators. Is for them to fully enjoy what they are learning.
I love how this article talked about student led choice and collaboration. This is something I do with my students all the time and it truly helps our lessons go by smoothly. The students also learn how to regulate themselves and can apply this outside of the classroom.
Letting the students lead their learning is a great idea. If students get to lead their learning they are more likely to do better in the class and be more engaged. Students who are not interested in the topic are likely to zone out and not gain anything from the lesson.
Including students when developing rules is important because there is the opportunity for engagement but also collaboration when developing rules for the classroom. It is also a good idea because it allows for them to see if they broke the rule, they have broken their own rules that they have come up with collectively as a class.
When students feel as if they can share their ideas in the classroom and to have a voice, they are more likely to integrate this knowledge into their everyday lives.
Students having a say in the classroom environment can be beneficial to helping students enjoy and understand what is being taught.
I think that letting the students have a say in what is going on in the classroom is a good idea because the more they have a say in the more likely they are to not only listen to it, but even enjoy it.
I think including students in the rule-making process is so important as rules created by them are more likely to be followed by them. Students need to know the why behind everything they hear. So, giving them the opportunity to be their own manager gives them the power to identify the important components of learning. The risk-taking environment is important for students learning as they need to understand that failure is ok and that every learner is different.
Its important for the teacher to provide a environment that allows the student to engage and enjoy their classroom ,as this makes them comfortable. Allowing students to make decisions in the classroom is challenging but also allows students to aware themselves of what's going on in the class room and learning techniques.
With a classroom of 20 - 30 rambunctious children, it is easy to fall into a strict routine. Often, teachers think that they need a regimen of rules for everything. However, student deserve a say in their classroom. After all, this is a huge part of their life. This goes back to valuing students as a whole-person!
I believe its important to get the students input on doing projects. They do have a voice.
