51 Comment(s)
This chart is interesting and also pretty accurate in my opinion. Problem solving and team work are two huge components in the working industry and adulthood.
I agree that problem solving should be the top statistic in this list as this skill is most commonly used in daily life.
I thought this chart was interesting. I noticed that some of the aspects of the C-model are at the top of the list.
The C-model of deep thinking is clearly demonstrated through the top choices of critical skills for employment: critical thinking (problem solving), collaboration (team working), communication, and creativity.
Definitely problem solving and team working should be at the very top. Students/everyone should always expect the unexpected and also in the real world no one barely works alone everything is team.
Problem solving should 100% be at the top of the list, students will have to do that in everyday life as they get older.
I agree that problem solving should be at the top, that is a very important skill for students to be taught that will impact their entire life.
I would have to agree with problem solving. In the real-world things might not always go as planned but you need to be able to adapt and try to find a solution.
I am curious what the response was for "other". The 4 top categories are all closely related, as teamwork requires communication and problem solving requires critical thinking.
I think it is very important to have problem solving at the top. Problem solving is a very important factor in schools.
I think that this shows that there is alot of problem solving and teamwork going and when issues arise it will be solved.
This shows that students have to be able to think critically and solve real life problems.
This survey shows how important problem solving, team working, and critical thinking are in a school setting.
This business survey shows that most people think that the most critical skills for employees are problem solving, team working, and communication. This lets educators know which skills school should emphasize to prepare students for employment.
This shows they students need to learn how to handle a problem maybe they get overwhelmed when there are numerous problems, they will have to handle one at a time. This shows that being able to handle situations is important in any work environment whether your a doctor or a cashier.
A lot of times if someone cannot figure something out, they just give up. Problem solving is important because it allows you to think and figure out the solution to difficult problems.
I can relate very much to this graph. As I began this year as a first year teach assistant, I have had to use problem solving skills every day. I can see how in any other career or job you also have to use problem solving skills. A classroom is a great place to incorporate team work, the classmates are your team mates.
I am not surprised problem solving is number one. In every career problem solving is a must! Now I understand why we encourage so many problem-solving and teamwork skills in the classroom because students will need these skills as they move forward in life.
From the data we get, we see that problem solving is one skill everyone possess. It is important to be able to think of effective solutions for problems, and be flexible where if you are in a situation you can act quick to fix it. This is a skill one uses on their day to day basis, work, school, etc.
I say in any organization problem solving and team working should be the most critical thinking skills that all employees should follow.
Having this information available to you as an educator allows you to format your lessons in a way that pulls from each of these areas but also puts more emphasis on skills, they will be expected to possess in the near future.
Problem Solving skills are the most important because when life gives you problems you have to be able to make a solution. Also, in the work force students will be asked to problem solve and should be able to.
I completely agree with this, as social media is on the rise. But then I agree with communication being so high up as Communication is not only through words but also through pictures, memes, and even emojis. I also found it interesting that creativity is still high up sense a lot of people copy others in this day and age.
The skill that the future demands the most is problem solving and teamwork.
Looking at the chart I see that problem solving and teamwork are the major outliers. I would agree with that, problem solving is a great skill to have no matter what situation or job you are in.
When looking at the chart I can agree I think that problem solving is one of the main skills to have when wanting to be successful in anything because this is a skill for everyday life.
Looking at this chart I see that problem-solving, and teamwork is a major component of what the future will demand, and I agree with that. I think we as people alone problem-solve every single day, we see this enhance in schools as well because it is all about learning. We have various problems that come up throughout our daily lives that we need to have solutions for which is why I can see how that falls so high on this list. Teamwork is another major thing because we need to be able to work with people as well, collaboration is a part of life and I truly believe we can learn from anyone as they all have different perspectives to share from.
Working as a team and problem solving is the biggest skills that will help make a person successful in life and in the workforce. Things can be done individually but the best things happen through collaboration.
I feel that problem solving is an essential skill to have. In life, whether it involves school or a job, an individual can be faced with problems every day. To overcome such a situation and move on with life, they need to know how to solve the problem.
i 100% agree that problem solving should be on the top here becasue throught out what ever job you pursue, you will always have to have the ability to problem solve or you will never make it far.
I believe problem solving should be most important because it is an everyday skill since becoming of age to work i have met people who have poor problem solving skills and they end up almost only just asking people to do it for them cause they cant figure things out on their own.
I agree with the statement that problem solving is a very important skill to have. As educators there are different problems we are going to faced with and we need to be able to assess the situations and effectively problem solve these different situations.
I agree that problem-solving should be at the top because it happens all the time.
I absolutely agree that problem solving is the most important part of being an effective employee, especially in todays society.
Out of this chart, I agree that problem solving should be number one and then communication, critical thinking and leadership following behind. However, the list on this chart is also a great demonstration.
I 100% agree that problem-solving should be at the top because it happens all the time and anywhere honestly
I think this image is a great demonstration. I agree that problem-solving is at the top because people problem-solve every day. I would have thought leadership would have been higher.
This image shows how different critical skills can have different meaning and different importance for now and in the future.
I can definitely see why some of these would rank higher than others. Problem solving is the one I use most often just in my daily life, so I can see why it is at the top of the list. I would have expected digital literacy to be higher, though.
Problem solving is an important skills to learn and this was no surprise it was at the top of the list.
Through working in fast food, I have come to realize that problem solving is present in even the most simple jobs. Teaching these skills at an early age so that problem solving is not a new concept allows students to be more comfortable with it in the future. This allows for students to find answers on the own rather than being told every step of the way.
When looking at this I would instantly say problem solving is very important , but also because this is very important to teach children as problem solving will always be used within the education system and realistic situations.
After working in my position as a TA currently, I can 100% say that problem solving seems to be the most used skill.
This graph gives educators an idea of what soft skills are wanted from new workers and gives us an opportunity to show them how its done.
From looking at this I would say that problem solving is the most critical skill set that organization possess. I agree with this because I think being able to problem solve helps in school and in life in general
I think its reasonable that problem solving will be the top skill because there are so many issues and they continue to grow. Future generations will be the ones who are expected to solve the problems.
Problem-solving skills was the most chosen answer within this survey. I agree that this skill is an important quality to have in business and should be taught to our students by all educators.
The most in demand is problem solving, teamwork, and communication. They all go together and is very important for our students. We as educators need to work together in making the difference in our classrooms.
I think many of these go hand-in-hand. For example, problem solving and critical thinking play a key role within each other. Personally, I think team work and. creativity are very important. Creativity can be a vital part of problem solving as well.
I think problem-solving is number one, in order to function in life you need the skills to be able to process the problem given to you. Whether or not a person likes or doesn't like to work in a team, it will be necessary at some point to collaborate with a team in order to be successful in the overall process. I think creativity is important, your ideas can set you apart from your peers and allow you to be successful.
I downloaded that chart to use in tomorrow's lesson, since my students will meet the classmates they will work with for the next 4 weeks.
